NJ Medicaid and Long-Term Care
Without proper planning and assistance, facility costs in excess of $100,000 per year can wipe out a lifetime of savings in a matter of a few years. New Jersey is a notoriously tough state in which to do Medicaid planning, and it is difficult to “shield” many assets from payment for medical expenses unless someone plans at least five years in advance. However, there are a number of cases, especially with a married couple with only one spouse entering a facility, where I can save thousands of dollars and the couple’s home, while also ensuring that the “community spouse” has sufficient income and resources to live a normal life. My job is to cut through the regulations, give you clear advice, and prepare and defend Medicaid applications anywhere in NJ and PA. Feel free to call me to discuss what it would take to put a plan in place for you or your family.
